This is where I'll keep all of the misc guides that has nothing to do with DivX or SVCD encoding, yet are important procedures to any proud ripper.

[Windows Media Video 8]

This is a new streaming format from Microsoft. The only one who actually delivers and invests money in new codecs, and they sure did a good job this time. Quality is better than DivX at high bitrates and filesizes are 15-20% smaller. True multipass encoding is introduced here for the first time, however encoding is very very slow.



[Seamless Branching Guide]

Seamless Branching is alot like Multiangles when refering to the .VOB structure, It is used in order to smartly fit 2 versions of the same movie in 1 vob stream. This guide explains how to properly rip only 1 version of the movie without getting repeating scenes.
